Music Fundamentals and Experiences for the older beginner ages 10-14+
Powerful, Engaging, and Dynamic Music Learning!
- For older children ages 10-14, these music fundamental classes build skills and deepen their love of music. We will learn music fundamentals including rhythm, pitch, harmony, expression, nuance, and more. These skills can prepare students to participate in school bands, orchestras, musicals, singing ensembles, private lessons, and more.
- Dalcroze's approach to music pedagogy is the only modern method that originated in the conservatory with adult pre-professional musicians. It is now used to teach and experience music in all age groups.
- Benefits of this education include improved intonation, finer listening capability, better ensemble skills, energetic rhythmic and metric vitality, and a deepened understanding of musical analysis, nuance, and aesthetics as they relate to performance.
This class has an at-home practice requirement of 10 minutes per day/ 5 days a week to enhance learning.
