In Rhythmic Solfege 3 we explore theory, musicality, singing, instruments, and improvisation in an immersive environment using Dalcroze techniques which include, active listening, playful movement, imagination, and creativity.

This class is part of a five year curriculum series that is a comprehensive music education covering key signatures, melody, harmony, time signatures, rhythms, syncopation, aural skills, nuance, polyrhythms, dynamics, articulation, expression elements. The complete progression of five levels will provide students with a solid and comprehensive music education, and students who complete the entire sequence will have the same competency of any college-level freshman conservatory student.

Dalcroze's approach to music pedagogy is the only modern method that originated in the conservatory with adult pre-professional musicians. The method works well when it is applied in tandem with private instrument instruction. Benefits of this education include improved listening skills, intonation, ensemble skills, rhythm, music reading, musical analysis, nuance and performance all learned in a fun interactive environment.

This class requires an at home practice metallophone (glockenspiel) where we learn to apply the skills we learn on an instrument. This can be purchased as an add-on fee.

This series has an at-home practice requirement of 10 minutes per day 5 days per week to enhance learning.
